How to choose a forex broker

Do not choose a broker only by bonus size or the highest advertised leverage. A better process is to match the broker to your actual trading workflow: manual trading, Expert Advisors, forex copy investing, older PAMM-style workflows, or long-term testing.

1. Check the legal entity

The same brand can operate through different companies. Always check which entity accepts your registration and what client protections apply in your region.

2. Compare real costs

Spreads, commissions, swaps, conversion fees and withdrawal costs matter more than a marketing headline. Test a small account before scaling.

3. Match platform to strategy

MT4 is still common for Expert Advisors. MT5 is stronger for newer workflows. cTrader and proprietary platforms can be excellent, but only if they fit your tools.

4. Treat copy trading as risk management

Copy trading is not passive income by default. Check drawdown, account age, strategy logic and whether the provider uses martingale or grid systems.
