Does this measure the exact latency I'd get from a specific VPS?

No. It measures your own current connection's round-trip time to public reference servers Google Cloud runs near each hub, as a live proxy for how well-positioned that hub is for you. A specific VPS provider's own network, route and hardware will give a different exact number - use this to compare hubs relative to each other, not to predict one provider's performance precisely.

Why does hub location matter for a forex or crypto VPS?

The closer your VPS is, in network terms, to your broker's trade server or an exchange's matching engine, the less delay between sending an order and it being filled. This matters most for scalping, high-frequency strategies and API-driven bots - it matters far less for slower swing or position trading.

Why did my result change when I ran the test again?

Your home network, Wi-Fi, VPN and general internet congestion all affect the result, and it can shift between runs. Run it a couple of times and look at the pattern across hubs rather than treating one single number as exact.
